sketchfab is a website that allows view and share 3D models created by users, so we can see them in great detail, either directly from their website or embedding them on other sites. Now, just released their application for several platforms, Allowing us to see the content in a different way thanks to the Virtual reality.
Sketchfab VR is available for iOS, Android, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift VR Gear, Which you can download the application from their respective stores. From it, we can visualize a series of default modelsNavigating through different points of particular interest. This makes the app very limited compared with allowing us to their website.
And it is that considering that more than 700,000 have different online 3D models and grouped in all kinds of categories, the VR application only allows access to tens, besides not being able to move freely around them.
The good news is that the application is free, So you can test it and evaluate it yourselves, still interesting point level experience.
For our part and after launch, hopefully will gradually improve it, because the concept is very interesting to exploit well with virtual reality.
